Central Pacific Bank’s Lahaina Branch will reopen today to provide a full-range of business and personal banking services, the company announced.

The branch has remained closed since Aug. 9, the day after a fire began and destroyed much of Lahaina town.

Normal power, phone and data connectivity remains down, however the bank has set up a generator and satellite system in order to maintain power as well as safe, reliable service, according to a news release. The branch will be fully functional and will be able to replace debit cards, checks and provide access to safe deposit boxes.

Additional employees will be available to help with the appropriate loan payment deferral programs offered to customers, as well as the bank’s Natural Disaster Loan Program designed to provide quick access to funds for people in need.

The Lahaina Branch and its ATM, located at 355 Keawe St., Suite 401, will be open during normal business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. It will be closed Saturday and Sunday.

The bank is offering relief options for customers impacted by the fire, including:

• Residential Mortgage Loan Payment Deferral Programs, with three months of principal and interest payment deferral available. Email [email protected] for more information.

• Consumer, Auto, Home Equity Line, and Small Business Loan Payment Deferral Programs, with three months of principal and interest payment deferral available. Email [email protected] for more information.

• Natural Disaster Loan Program, which offers up to $10,000 loans at special rates with flexible terms for people impacted by the Maui fires.

• Safe deposit box fees waived. Lahaina Branch customers with existing boxes receive a one-year waiver. The bank will waive fees for customers on a 3-by-5-inch box at any Maui location for one year, subject to availability.

• ATM fees waived. User fees are deactivated at all Maui ATMs for anyone on Maui. Central Pacific Bank customers who are Maui residents will be reimbursed ATM fees when using non-Central Pacific Bank machines on a monthly basis.

• Expedited debit card and check replacement. The bank will waive replacement fees for debit cards and the first order of replacement checks for Maui residents affected by the fire.

• Maui Customer Care Hotline at (808) 871-0505 to help expedite calls from Maui.

All Central Pacific Bank branches are also accepting monetary donations as part of the Hawaii Bankers Association Aloha for Maui Campaign, with 100 percent of the funds Central Pacific Bank collects going to the Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong fund.

The Central Pacific Bank Foundation is also donating $50,000 to the Hawaii Red Cross and $25,000 to the Maui Food Bank.
